Kirkland, Washington, February 21, 2019 – Systima Technologies is proud to announce that it will be partnering with two-time National Hot Rod Association Funny Car World Champion, Cruz Pedregon, for the 2019 season.  Systima Technologies, a premier Aerospace Engineering firm, will be providing world class engineering and state of the art fabrication services to Cruz Pedregon Racing.  “Being able to apply an aerospace engineering perspective to our racing operation will help give us the edge we need to compete for the 2019 championship” says Cruz Pedregon, driver of the Snap-On Tools Funny Car.  “We need every competitive edge we can get being a single car team, having Systima on board to help is a tool no other team has” says Pedregon.

When asked about the partnership, Tom Prenzlow, President of Systima Technologies said, “We are very excited to be part of the Snap-On Tools Funny Car team and hope to bring a fresh set of eyes to the extremely competitive and challenging sport of Nitro Funny Car racing. We have been working with Cruz and his team throughout the offseason and pre-season testing to better understand and identify areas that we can improve upon by leveraging our aerospace engineering expertise.  The Systima Engineering team is excited to start rolling out some new technologies that will hopefully help the team excel throughout the 2019 season.”

The Systima Engineering team will be trackside at many of the events throughout the 2019 Mello Yello Drag Racing series to provide immediate onsite support.  Systima’s background in aerospace testing allows Cruz Pedregon Racing to leverage the latest data acquisition technology provided both by Dewesoft (data acquisition systems developer and manufacturer) and PCB Piezotronics, Inc. (designer and manufacturer of accelerometers, force, strain, and pressure sensors).  “It’s not just having access to technology like Dewesoft and PCB, but having people on our team that use it day in and day out is something we have never had and are excited to see what it can bring to our 2019 season.” says Pedregon.
