Kirkland, WA, September 26, 2018 - Over the past two decades, the Systima Technologies team has become a trusted source for complex integrated systems supporting the Aerospace and Defense Markets. Systima’s recent contract awards have led to significant growth and an expansion of its capabilities. Systima now employs in the range of 100-200 talented individuals and continues to hire engineering talent from all different disciplines within the field of aerospace.
This recent growth resulted in the purchase of a new building adjacent to the current campus to accommodate a rapidly growing team, and to dedicate space to Systima’s expanding manufacturing and production department. The new building adds 50,000 square feet to Systima’s campus, nearly doubling it in size.
Tom Prenzlow, President of Systima Technologies commented, “Systima has always been committed to delivering quality work to our customers. This expansion allows us to respond to our customers’ needs and further support this growing industry. The new equipment and personnel will enable us to increase our production throughput as well as further raise the quality levels of our delivered hardware due to new internally controlled standards of manufacturing.”
Part of the new building will house the former Beaver Machine Works, newly acquired by Systima. This department is led by
Eric Wightman, who brings significant fabrication expertise to the team especially in the area of composites. Added capabilities include additional CNC machines, a CMS Ares 188" x 72" 5-axis Gantry, welding capability, and much more equipment to support in-house production. New capabilities and equipment were also are added onto Systima’s in-house prototype shop, which provides development programs with rapid hardware in as little as days. “The growth we are seeing is a testament to the values Systima holds. I’m proud to be a part of such an exceptional team,” said Wightman.
