MECHANICAL DESIGN
ENGINEER
Summary:
We need an Engineer with the CAD skills, a
highly creative problem solving aptitude, and a strong intuitive
sense about designing mechanical systems. This position is mid-level
support position for the engineering staff in all aspects of
mechanical design from concept, development, validation and detailed
design requiring a fair amount of autonomy and hands-on activity.
Candidate MUST have prior experience and be highly proficient in
Pro/Engineer Wildfire 2.0-3.0 as this position will require the
candidate to hit the ground running from day
one.
Applicant Requirements: A minimum of a BS degree in related
discipline is required. 4000+ hours recent Pro/E experience in
mechanical design. Must be familiar with drawing conventions
including geometric tolerances. Familiarity with basic
material properties, strengths and stress formulas. Strong
mathematical skills (Trig and Algebra). Candidate must have a
strong mechanical aptitude as well as a basic understanding of
electrical wiring diagrams. Ability to keep track of the
global goals and see the big picture while focusing on the
details. Applicant must be able to read blueprints, drawings,
and technical diagrams, and be able to work to verbal and written
instructions. Strong computer background and familiarity with
common office applications is critical. The applicant needs to
be self-motivated, able to multi-task, work independently on
assignments with minimal oversight or direction, be quality-oriented
and safety conscious. Good communication and customer
relationship skills are required. Candidate must be a ?>US citizen.
Job Roles and Tasks:
Support the mechanical engineering group in all aspects of design
from tooling to flight hardware. Strong emphasis on quick-turn
concept design with Pro/E models. Support proposal and
presentation efforts through CAD models and illustrations.
Create drawing packages for hardware ranging from prototypes to
final design packages. Generate Bill of Materials for
Assemblies. Additional tasks will include supporting
prototyping, hardware assembly, development testing and product
qualification.

PROJECT ENGINEER
?> Summary:
This position
will provide Engineering Support for projects requiring the
application and demonstration of aerospace and defense systems. The focus of the position
will be on the design, development and demonstration of advanced
technologies in support of military and aerospace development
programs. The position
will assist in leading all phases of development including
conceptual level design and analysis, full scale system development,
prototype hardware design, fabrication, and system testing.
Representative
Duties:
·
The
position scope will focus on the use of mechanical systems
necessary to develop and
demonstrate systems for demonstration on ground and flight
vehicles.
·
Work will involve
team-oriented participation in the development and conduct of
projects requiring mechanical system
development.
·
The candidate will
assist the program manager and current product owners and may
eventually become the lead program engineer/manager providing
customer presentations and submittals and to coordinate activities
with other internal organizations such as engineering,
manufacturing, quality, and test.
·
The PE will be
expected to perform engineering analysis as required in support of
trade studies and program tasks.
·
Candidate will
assist the project manager in planning, assuring completion of
client goals on time, within budget and ensuring products conform to
the highest standards of excellence in terms of accuracy,
completeness, and presentation.

Responsibilities
include support of business development and project performance
efforts that address customer needs. Candidate will be required
to effectively interact with clients for business development
including needs definition, proposal presentations, and project
definition and reviews.

Candidate
is also required to effectively interact with technical staff for
proposal development and project performance.
Level
of Knowledge and Education:
B.S.
or M.S. Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. The ideal
candidate will possess 5 to 7 years of experience in mechanical
development of aerospace systems with exposure to electromechanical
systems. Candidate
must have background and experience with structural
analysis, dynamics/ kinematics, advanced high-strength materials,
CAD and machine design.
Ability
to develop, plan and execute projects is required.
Candidates for consideration must be a U.S. citizen, will be subject

eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
