Drafter/CAD, Mechanical Systems
This position is entry to level support position for the mechanical engineering staff and with emphasis on mechanical drawings, drafting, tooling design, and manufacturing processes.
Position Requirements:
- Candidate must have prior experience with Pro/Engineer Wildfire (preferred experience with version 4.0+) and be proficient SolidWorks
- Must be familiar with drawing conventions including geometric tolerances.
- Strong mechanical aptitude as well as creativity in solving problems.
- Must be able to read blueprints, drawings, and technical diagrams.
- Strong computer background and familiarity with common office applications.
- The applicant needs to be self-motivated, able to multi-task, work independently on assignments with minimal oversight or direction.
- Good communication and customer relationship skills are required.
- Candidate must be US citizen.
Job Roles and Tasks:
- Create drawing packages for hardware ranging from prototypes to final design packages.
- Support proposal and presentation efforts through CAD models and illustrations.
- Generate Bill of Materials for Assemblies.
- Additional tasks will include supporting prototyping, hardware assembly, development, testing and product qualification.

Development Engineer (Test Specialist)
Summary:
Systima Technologies is hiring a Development Engineer (Test Specialist) to provide test support on projects requiring the demonstration, verification and/or validation of aerospace and defense-related technologies. The focus of this position is the development and test of components and systems of advanced technologies for military and aerospace customers. This position assists in the later phases of development including prototype development testing, pre-production verification testing, and customer and/or flight validation testing.

Responsibilities Include:
- Working with a team to ensure that project goals are completed on time and within budget
- Developing test methods, fixtures and apparatus for engineering tests:
- Designing test fixtures and equipment using CAD software
- Coordinating the fabrication of test fixtures, etc.
- Planning and executing development, verification and validation tests of mechanical and/or pyrotechnic components or systems
- Test planning to ensure that test objectives are established, documented and achieved
- Selection, set-up and validation of instrumentation and sensors, including pressure transducers, accelerometers, thermocouples, strain gages, etc.
- Configuration of data acquisition systems
- Photography and videography of highly dynamic mechanical and/or pyrotechnic systems, including still pictures, real-time video and high-speed video
- Test conduct
- Post-processing of test data, including plotting and analysis of engineering data and compilation of test videos
- Test planning and support of flight tests or other off-site demonstration and validation tests
- Ensuring data validity through measurement system calibration and test set-up validation
- Documenting test results in reports, slide presentations or other communications
- Presentation of test results to customers or management
Education and Experience:
- B.S. Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or related field, preferred
- 1 to 3 years of experience in development and test of mechanical, pyrotechnic and electromechanical aerospace systems, preferred
Skills and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of engineering instrumentation and data acquisition
- Familiarity with engineering data analysis and processing
- Hands-on fabrication ability
- Strong, verbal and written communications and presentation skills
- Must be a U.S. citizen and must meet eligibility requirements for a security clearance
